![]() Part of Taito's arcade-simulator series ".de GO!" (Lets Go By.) which includes the train operating sub-series "Densha de GO!" (Lets Go By Train). Developed by Taito in 1999 and distributed outside Japan by Acclaim in 2000. This is definitely my favourite drift game for the PSX. Got a bargain re-edition in 1999 under the name SIDE BY SIDE Special 2000, which supported DualShock vibration, but still no analog mode (but supports Namco's NeGcon). The BGM was composed by Hideki Takahagi a.k.a. Race against 7 opponents (compared to the head-to-head of other touge drift games) and the timer, starting from the end of the grid. It has 9 mountain passes (touge) and 16 licensed japanese cars (eg: AE86, GT-R, NSX, Civic, S13, Lancer EvoIV, Supra, RX-7) to choose from. The SBS series was later renamed as Battle Gear in 1999. This is a 1998 PlayStation port for the 2 Arcade releases based on the Taito JC System Type-C Hardware (SBS from 1996 & SBS2 Evoluzione from 1997). SIDE BY SIDE Special: Loosely inspired in the manga/anime Initial D. *You must register and wait for activation, then press CnacN6o in the game's tread to see the link. These games can be found in the SnesOrama or PSX Planet* forums. EDIT: The descriptions here were written by me, not another copypaste. ![]()
